From personal experience one can say that a funeral of a loved one
is sort of an inverted celebration; music, flowers, speeches, tears...etc. All of which are expressed at a wedding, birthday, or retirement. On this day, death and life become vaster shades of grey. Someone who once held your hand, or kissed your cheek are sleeping without wake. Warm skin pulsing and so alive are cold as marble and still as stone.
